A Return to the Lakes

We wanted to visit the quieter part of the Lakes District. Coniston Water was glassy and you could see why it was used for Bluebird speed attempts. Tarn Hows, a man made lake was very picturesque.

The area lived up to its name, lacking the tourist traps and the crowds around Bowness.
