A traffic jam in Inverness

Before leaving the far north of Scotland, we drove by the Castle of Mey (the Queen Mother's holiday home) and visited the Stacks of Duncansby. Both of these are a short drive from John O'Groats.

We then drove back down to Inverness and halfway down the western side of Lock Ness before doubling back to Inverness and heading to our stop for the next two days - Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park.

We got caught in serious traffic jams both entering and leaving Inverness - a shock to the system considering the remote areas we have been driving through.
